Hethel Engineering Centre has been supporting businesses since 2006. We’ve become experts in running business centres over the years, and we (Hethel Innovation) now manage two other thriving sites in Norfolk; Scottow Enterprise Park and the brand new Broadland Food Innovation Centre.

The small village of Hethel hosts some big names as we’re not the only resident to call this part of South Norwich home. Our neighbours include the iconic Lotus Cars, not forgetting the ideal get-away and venue spot; Norfolk Farm Venue.
If you’re lucky enough to live in Norfolk, you’ll know how much it has to offer! Hethel is just a 15 minute commute from the heart of Norwich, which is a buzz of independent retailers to shop, wine and dine in, historical buildings (the grand Norwich Theatre Royal, Norwich Cathedral and The Lanes to name a few), and the beloved Norwich City Football Club (The Canaries/Yellows for you footy fans).
A short trip out of the hustle and bustle and surroundings transform into greenery, flowing waters of the famous Broads and award-winning coastlines; we’re truly spoiled for choice when it comes to getting out in open spaces and boosting our wellbeing.
hethel Community
Our community is ever evolving and we’re always working towards making it stronger. Our events and marketing team collate a yearly calendar of events, collaboration visits, competitions and challenges for members of all of our sites to get involved with. We’re lucky to have a great network of supporters around us, from integral organisations to the region such as UEA, Norwich Research Park and local councils, and together we continue to build Norfolk as an innovation hub.

We pride ourselves on providing top notch incubation space for businesses to grow, with workshop space to cater for everyone. Our fab Customer Team are on hand to support businesses in finding space that works, just drop them a line about your requirements.
- Workshops: Perfect for light industrial use, our modern workshop facilities range between 900 and 1300 sqft which you can make your own.
- Offices: Between 300 & 1200sqft, there’s space for your colleagues and even their dogs!
- Virtual tenancy: Sometimes a front of shop and friendly service is all your business needs to reach it’s peak professionalism – take advantage of having a registered business address, postal address and phone answering service.
- Pod: Ideal for those who want flexible desk space, and the perks of a registered business address.
- Conferencing and meeting rooms: Varied meeting spaces meets modern conferencing equipment (integrated webcams, mics, air con), plus optional catering and the use of our coffee forum – fresh with locally sourced coffee from our member Javabean at Scottow Enterprise Park!
The Team
Past reception, you’ll find the rest of the Hethel Engineering Centre site team carrying out tasks around the centre, but usually in the Hethel office with the rest of the team. With an open door policy, they’re readily available to help members with any queries and even support them with connecting up with new people.
Hethel’s Innovation Team split their time between HEC and our other sites Scottow Enterprise Park and Broadland Food Innovation Centre, but you’ll always find one of the team on site.
